Then this trip is for you! We have included the quintessence of Georgia. There will be mountains, there will be sea! Every day we will taste a variety of Georgian cuisine! We will feast together during a Georgian supra, experience the magic of Georgian toasts and how beautifully you can get to know another person through them.

at Hostel Kutaisi by Kote

Day 1 

We will adapt the expedition programme to your arrival time. We will be waiting for you at the airport in the arrivals hall. The road from the airport will take us about 30 minutes. We will accommodate you in our legendary Hostel Kutaisi by Kote, which has hosted the most Poles of the city! The hostel is located in an atmospheric district of Kutaisi overlooking Bagrati Cathedral. We have a pleasant, family atmosphere as you will see for yourself! After your accommodation we will take you to A walk through the city. Kutaisi is the first capital of Georgia. The city's history is more than 4,000 years old!

 We will walk to Bagrati Cathedral, which is a symbol of Georgian unification. You will see a beautiful panorama of the city of Kutaisi. We will reach the centre to the famous Green Bazaar, the white and red bridge, you will see the Kolkhida fountain. We will hook up with souvenir shops or the jewellery bazaar. We will show you polish accent in the city!

We will return to our hostel, where a delicious dinner will be waiting for us. The table will be full of Georgian specialities. You will taste our homemade wine and regional dishes that we will prepare for you! You will experience Georgian feast - supra with Tamada toasts!

Prometheus Cave

Day 2

Our first city break destination will be Prometheus Cave. Here we will see impressive stalactites, stalagmites and fossilised water curtains. As many as 1060 metres of the cave are open to the public!

We will then drive to the Martvili-Chkondidi Monastery, built at the end of the 7th century. Chkondidi was previously a pagan religious centre. A great oak tree was located here, which was a pagan temple to the goddess of fertility. The first church was built on the site of a felled oak tree and named after Saint Andrew, who preached Christianity in Megrela.

Our next destination for the day will be the picturesque Martvili Canyon! We will admire it from specially prepared viewing platforms and from paths along the canyon. There is an option to take a pontoon ride through the canyon with a local guide.

We will then take you to the picturesque Balda Canyon and Kaghu Waterfall with its crystal clear water!

Dinner will be at our hostel in Kutaisi. You will taste homemade wine, which we make only from grapes, without any additives! You will learn about the traditions of Georgian feasting - supra and legendary toasts!

Batumi's Old Town - Piazza Square

Day 3

On the way to Batumi we will stop at the Dendrological Park. There we will see giant trees coming from as many as 5 continents! During the creation of the park, many of the trees arrived by special transport by sea on rafts. There are also animals in the park - flamingos, lemurs, parrots. It is the perfect place for a stroll and relaxation among nature!

The main highlight of the tour will be a walk through the city centre of Batumi, located on the Black Sea. We will see the wonderful old town with atmospheric buildings with charming verandas, Piazza Square. We will take a look at the Turkish quarter, where you will see a mosque and can taste traditional Turkish coffee or tea. Batumi is distinguished by its ubiquitous, diverse architecture, to suit all tastes.

We will walk along the famous boulevard, where the city's landmarks are located. Some of the most recognisable places in the city include: Europe Square with the Medea statue, the Alphabet Tower (a tall iron structure on which 33 letters of the Georgian alphabet are embossed), the Astronomical Clock located on the building and the famous Ali and Nino statue.

There will be free time after the tour. In Batumi, we will recommend you tried and tested restaurants and pubs.

Dinner will be in Kutaisi. The godmother of the house will prepare for you delicious dishes from the Imeretia and Lechkhumi region!

Day 4

We will set off to the beautiful Racha region, known as the Georgian Switzerland. We will drive through Tkibuli, the highest town in the Imeretia region. Tkibuli lies just before the Nakerala Pass and Tskhradjvari (Nine Crosses), where we will of course take breaks at the magnificent viewpoints!

We will stop at the picturesque Shaori Lake overlooking the Caucasian peaks! We will then visit the 11th century Nikortsminda x 11th century monastery with its beautiful frescoes.

On the way, we'll stop in the town of Ambrolauri for a photo with a huge bottle of wine! 😉 We'll stock up on delicious lobiani with beans and regional ham, and other delicacies for a picnic.

Through picturesque valleys amidst the Rakhine mountains full of grape fields, we will reach the village of Khvanchkara, which is the origin of the unique semi-sweet wine of the same name, known all over the world. We will take you to a local winemaker where we will stock up on natural Khvanchkara. Rachy we will prepare a picnic for you with regional specialities! In the afternoon, we will head to the Lechkhumi region for sunset. We will go for a walk to the impressive Sairme Rocks.

Lechkhumi region - viewpoint in Lailashi village

 We will see the Lajanuri dam and the old capital of the region, Lailashi, with its many monuments, synagogue and fantastic open-air viewing terrace with fabulous views of the Lechkhumis and Imeretian mountains. We will return along the historic, rocky valley of the Rioni River with which the mythology of the Argonauts is linked. We will pass through unique mirostrephs where unique species of Tvishi and Orkhvi grapevines grow. We will return to Kutaisi in the late evening.

Day 5
We will organise your transfer to Kutaisi airport.

  • Overnight accommodation is provided at the family-run Hostel Kutaisi by Kote.
  • The tour is organised with a Polish-speaking guide
  • In monasteries it is obligatory to wear proper clothing - a headscarf for ladies, covered legs, men - long pants. In most monasteries scarves are available on site.
  • If you follow a special diet let us know in advance. Georgian cuisine is full of vegan or vegetarian dishes.
