Horses are our great passion. From a very young age, we’ve had the pleasure of spending time with these beautiful animals and exploring the secrets of horse riding. A horseback expedition across the Greater Caucasus! Setting off from Ushguli (2,200 m) along picturesque trails. Our destinations are the Shkhara Glacier, Lake Gvibari and the Latpari Pass.

Our horses
These are mountain horses of Caucasian breeds. The Megrelian breed predominates in Kulbaki. They are medium-sized horses with a slender yet sturdy build. They are very hardy on the trail and in excellent physical condition. In their day-to-day lives, they live like true wild horses – in herds on open alpine meadows and steppes. They find their way along the trails with ease; you can trust them to choose the route, and they are very safe to ride.
Saddles
We have Georgian saddles with a large, soft cushion in the seat. They’re ideal for long rides. The second type of saddle is more like a pommel saddle. It has a flat seat. Traditional Georgian saddle frame.
